David Gonzalez has over twenty-five years of experience advocating before California's legislative, regulatory and judicial branches of government. Mr. Gonzalez began his career serving in the California Assembly as a Democratic Consultant to the Committee on Health where he drafted analyses, advised legislators, and drafted legislative language on ground-breaking bills on issues ranging from childhood nutrition to health insurance mandates. After his service in the Assembly, Mr. Gonzalez became the Vice President of Legal and Regulatory Affairs for the California Association of Health Plans where his advocacy focused on the administrative rulemaking process and significant court cases and actions. Mr. Gonzalez then worked in “big law” for 10 years at the international law firms of Greenberg Traurig, and DLA Piper where he served as Of Counsel. Mr. Gonzalez is la registered lobbyist and is licensed to practice law in California. With a passion for serving at the local level, Mr. Gonzalez currently serves on the Board of the Exodus Project, which aims to break the cycle of incarceration in Sacramento County

Cher Gonzalez has over twenty-five years of experience in state government relations and has advocated on behalf of global health organizations in various state legislatures and regulatory bodies across the nation. In those roles she specialized in multi-state government affairs management, public health programs, state government contract negotiations, healthcare delivery models, legislative and regulatory advocacy, and developing disease awareness campaigns. Prior to her corporate in-house roles, Ms. Gonzalez served as Counsel for the California Chamber of Commerce, where she specialized in litigation and liability issues. With an expertise in healthcare policy, Ms. Gonzalez is regularly invited to be a guest speaker at various health policy conferences across the state. Ms. Gonzalez is a registered lobbyist and is licensed to practice law in California. With a passion for global health and human rights issues at the state, federal and international level, Ms. Gonzalez has served for various non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Eastern Europe and East Africa and continues to represent NGOs to this day.
